Meet the founder
PATRICE MEIGNAN
Founder & Creative Strategist

Making the car industry cool again.
Patrice Meignan is a creative entrepreneur, publisher and the founder of TheArsenale. His work connects automotive brands with art, fashion, music and design—giving mobility a place in contemporary culture.
For more than twenty years, he has developed collaborations, campaigns and experiences around a simple conviction: a car can be much more than a machine. It can express a point of view, inspire a creative community and become part of the way people live.
An editorial eye. A lifelong obsession with motion.
Patrice’s approach took shape in publishing. As co-founder of BLAST, he explored the connections between board sports, music and fashion. With Intersection, he applied that same curiosity to automotive culture, looking at cars through the worlds of architecture, photography, design and style.
Those years shaped how he works today: find an unexpected angle, recognise the right talent and create something people want to discover. The story matters as much as the object.
Cars, motorcycles, boats and aircraft have remained a constant fascination—not only for their design or performance, but for the freedom they represent.
From publishing culture to creating collaborations.
With L’Écurie, founded in 2007, Patrice brought that editorial perspective into creative strategy and brand communication.
His instinct is to see connections early: which artist could give a car a different meaning, which designer could challenge a familiar brand, or which cultural moment could become the starting point for a campaign.
That approach runs through projects such as smart × All Gone & Ed Banger, the Ford Mustang artist collaborations and Renault AIR4. Each begins with a specific encounter and develops into a story, an object or an experience.
TheArsenale: a wider world of mobility.
Founded in 2015, TheArsenale extended that vision beyond the agency. It created a platform for independent builders, unusual machines and new ideas across land, sea and air.
The agency, marketplace and curated spaces give Patrice a perspective that moves between established automotive brands and independent creators. He is interested in both: the ambition of a global manufacturer and the conviction of someone building a machine the world has never seen.
That exchange continues to inform TheArsenale Agency’s work—from artistic collaborations to the mobility projects developed with Renault.
Personally involved, from the first idea.
At TheArsenale Agency, Patrice shapes the creative direction, identifies collaborators and stays close to the development of each project. His role combines strategy, creative judgment and the ability to get the right people around the same table.
The ambition is to create work with character: a clear idea, a strong visual identity and a reason for people to care.
