Brand Communication
Give a creative idea a message people can carry.

What it means
Brand communication is the expression of a brand’s positioning through words, images and experiences. It turns strategy into a public story with a clear message, a recognisable voice and credible evidence. It works across a campaign’s details, from a headline to the way a partner explains the collaboration.
Why a CMO invests in it
For a CMO, effective communication helps people understand why a brand matters and what makes an offer different. A coherent message lets separate touchpoints reinforce one another. Attention is useful only when it connects to the right brand and the intended meaning.

All Gone & Ed Banger for smart
Collaboration Concept, Art Direction, Production, Communication
View the full project ↗The documented case
In 2016, smart joined forces with All Gone and Ed Banger Records to celebrate ten years of the street-culture book. Ten unique smart fortwo models wore designs drawn from All Gone’s iconic covers, bringing a decade of creative culture onto the road. Ed Banger Records added a musical dimension, with a selection curated by Busy P.
TheArsenale developed the collaboration concept and led art direction, production and communications. The project connected automotive design, visual culture and music through a distinctive collection of art cars.
The marketing lesson
All Gone & Ed Banger for smart translated a street-culture anniversary into ten distinctive smart fortwo art cars, with a musical contribution curated by Busy P. TheArsenale led the concept, art direction, production and communication. The case shows how the physical objects supply evidence for the story: the cultural connection is visible in the cars, rather than existing only in the announcement.
What single idea should someone be able to repeat accurately after seeing this campaign?
What the work produces
Message hierarchy; brand voice; campaign copy; visual narrative; press and partner materials; adaptation principles.
The exact scope is defined for each brief; this is a practical guide to the discipline.
What to measure
Evaluate message recall, correct attribution, relevant coverage and the quality of resulting conversations. If lead generation is an objective, define what makes an enquiry qualified before launch.
These are suggested evaluation criteria, not reported results for the case above.
