TheArsenale Perspectives / Brand Consultation
Brand platforms
Build one idea that can hold many expressions.

What it means
A brand platform is a shared strategic foundation: who a brand serves, what it stands for, how it is different and what evidence supports its promise. It gives creative teams a direction that survives individual campaigns. It should make decisions easier, including the decision to reject an attractive but irrelevant idea.
Why a CMO invests in it
A useful platform helps a CMO align product, communication and partnerships around the same ambition. Teams can develop different executions without restarting the strategy every time. That coherence can strengthen recognition and reduce wasted work; it does not mean every audience receives identical content.

Renault 5 E-Tech — 5 Movements
Video Production, Design, Development, Campaign
View the full project ↗The documented case
For the launch of Renault 5 E-Tech electric, Renault and TheArsenale created 5 Movements: a collaboration platform bringing together five French mobility start-ups.
The project extended the Renault 5 story into other forms of movement, connecting the electric car with a wider culture of invention. TheArsenale’s contribution covered campaign development, design and video production, bringing the collaborations together in one launch story.
The marketing lesson
Renault 5 E-Tech’s 5 Movements extends the vehicle launch into a wider culture of French mobility invention. Five start-ups provide different expressions of a common idea. TheArsenale’s documented work includes campaign development, design and video production. Read as a platform, the project demonstrates how a central narrative can organise several partnerships without asking them to become interchangeable.
If our logo disappeared, what shared idea would still connect our projects?
What the work produces
Positioning statement; audience priorities; value proposition; reasons to believe; principles for partnerships and creative work.
The exact scope is defined for each brief; this is a practical guide to the discipline.
What to measure
Evaluate whether teams can use the platform to choose between real proposals. Test brand associations before and after a campaign, and review how consistently each touchpoint supports the intended promise.
These are suggested evaluation criteria, not reported results for the case above.
