TheArsenale Perspectives / Brand Consultation
Brand Consultation
Make better decisions before making more assets.

What it means
Brand consultation creates the strategic basis for creative work. It clarifies the audience, the position a brand wants to occupy and the evidence that makes that position credible. The work connects research with practical choices about messages, partnerships, design and channels.
Why a CMO invests in it
For a CMO, the value is a clearer brief and a shared way to decide what deserves investment. Consultation should reduce ambiguity and align the people responsible for execution. It becomes useful when teams can apply it to a real launch or campaign.

Renault 5 E-Tech — 5 Movements
Video Production, Design, Development, Campaign
View the full project ↗The documented case
For the launch of Renault 5 E-Tech electric, Renault and TheArsenale created 5 Movements: a collaboration platform bringing together five French mobility start-ups.
The project extended the Renault 5 story into other forms of movement, connecting the electric car with a wider culture of invention. TheArsenale’s contribution covered campaign development, design and video production, bringing the collaborations together in one launch story.
The marketing lesson
Renault 5 E-Tech’s 5 Movements provides a concrete example of a shared idea organising several collaborations. Five French mobility start-ups extend the launch beyond the car. TheArsenale’s documented campaign work connects design, development and video production around that wider story. The lesson is to define the relationship between the brand and its chosen cultural territory before multiplying the outputs.
What decision must become clearer before the creative team starts?
What the work produces
Audience and category understanding; positioning and platform; architecture and naming principles; communication, digital and content strategy.
The exact scope is defined for each brief; this is a practical guide to the discipline.
What to measure
Agree the intended change in understanding or behaviour, establish a baseline and select indicators before production. Review strategic clarity as well as the eventual performance of the campaign.
These are suggested evaluation criteria, not reported results for the case above.
