Communication strategies
Decide what each audience needs to hear.

What it means
Communication strategy connects a business objective with an audience, a message, evidence and a sequence of channels. It defines what should change in people’s understanding or behaviour. Media selection follows that decision: a launch announcement, a creator collaboration and a dealer conversation may each do a different job.
Why a CMO invests in it
A CMO gains a clearer relationship between investment and purpose. Instead of producing the same asset everywhere, the team can decide what creates attention, what explains the offer and what supports the next action. The strategy also provides a basis for briefing partners and evaluating results.

All Gone & Ed Banger for smart
Collaboration Concept, Art Direction, Production, Communication
View the full project ↗The documented case
In 2016, smart joined forces with All Gone and Ed Banger Records to celebrate ten years of the street-culture book. Ten unique smart fortwo models wore designs drawn from All Gone’s iconic covers, bringing a decade of creative culture onto the road. Ed Banger Records added a musical dimension, with a selection curated by Busy P.
TheArsenale developed the collaboration concept and led art direction, production and communications. The project connected automotive design, visual culture and music through a distinctive collection of art cars.
The marketing lesson
All Gone & Ed Banger for smart joins automotive design, street culture and music. Ten art cars connect the tenth anniversary of All Gone with a musical dimension curated by Busy P. TheArsenale’s confirmed role covers collaboration concept, art direction, production and communication. The strategic lesson is to give each partner a meaningful contribution, then build a communication story around the relationship rather than a collection of logos.
What should this particular audience understand or do after encountering the campaign?
What the work produces
Audience priorities; message hierarchy; channel roles; launch sequence; partner responsibilities; measurement plan.
The exact scope is defined for each brief; this is a practical guide to the discipline.
What to measure
Separate attention from understanding and action. Review relevant reach, message recall, quality of coverage and qualified enquiries; use attribution methods suited to the campaign rather than assuming every contact caused a sale.
These are suggested evaluation criteria, not reported results for the case above.
